Austin Recovery’s Edith Royal Campus

Located in Northeast Austin, this 55,800-square-foot facility is the beginning of the journey for all our clients. Our Edith Royal Campus houses our Admissions Office, Detox, Women’s Residential, Family House and Austin Recovery’s Administration Offices. Women in treatment participate in individual and group counseling, education about addiction processes, 12-Step programs, life skills classes, Musical Journey experiences and art therapy. Women staying for long-term treatment (more than 30 days) focus on relapse prevention and creating a new life in recovery.

Austin Recovery’s Hicks Family Ranch

This 40-acre property just outside Austin is home to our men’s residential program (those staying approximately 30 days). Nearly 28,500-square-feet of space provides plenty of room for individual and group counseling, education about addiction processes, 12-Step programs, life skills classes, and Musical Journey experiences. Austin Recovery's Hicks Family Ranch serves between 800-1,000 clients each year. This is a closed campus except during formal visitation hours on Saturdays (12:15-3:30 p.m.).

Austin Recovery’s Lodge

Located on a 12-acre-site in South Austin, Recovery Lodge focuses on men requesting or requiring additional time in treatment and relapse prevention. The Lodge has three homes in a wooded setting allowing clients to refresh life management skills while taking part in counseling sessions, experience-based learning and job hunting. All clients must go through Admissions at Cross Park prior to arrival at the Lodge. The Lodge is a closed campus except for visitation. If you are planning on visiting a client, be sure you are on the visitation list before coming.

Austin Recovery Outpatient and Aftercare

Clients successfully completing treatment at Austin Recovery can continue with a weekly schedule of counseling and relapse prevention classes through our Aftercare program. Although our main office for Aftercare is on South Congress, sessions are also held at the Edith Royal Campus. For some clients, Intensive Outpatient services are appropriate. Our Outpatient staff provides counseling and education in three-hour sessions, four times each week.

We focus our efforts on the newcomers or renewcomers, be they current patients, former patients or those from the general public, who come to Communities for Recovery for relief from the disease of addiction and dual disorders. Our primary objective is to link the newcomers and/or patients with our Peer Support Volunteers before they leave the professional treatment center environment.
